About Densy Sanchez
Densy Sanchez is a professional footballer from Venezuela. He is on loan from Atlético Madrid to the Spanish team CD Leganés, where he plays as a midfielder.
Sanchez was born in Mérida, and he started his career with the local team Monagas SC, where he played his first professional game in 2012. He joined Atlético Madrid in January 2015, but was put on the B-team at first. On February 1, 2015, he made his first team and La Liga debut when he came on as a late substitute in a 2-0 home win over Real Madrid.
Sanchez scored his first professional goal on September 12, 2015, in a 1–0 home win against Rayo Vallecano for the Copa del Rey. It was the only goal of the game. The next month, he made his first European appearance. He came on as a late substitute in a UEFA Champions League group stage game against Galatasaray SK and helped his team win 2-0.
Sanchez was loaned to Sporting de Gijón on February 2, 2016, until the end of the season. Four days later, he played the last 14 minutes of the Asturians’ 2–1 home win over Getafe CF. This was his first game for the team.
Sanchez scored his first goal for Sporting on April 2, 2016, when they beat Levante UD 1-0 at home. It was the only goal of the game. At the end of the season, he had played 27 times and scored one goal, which helped the team avoid relegation.
Sanchez was loaned to Segunda División team CD Numancia on August 27, 2016, for a year. He played his first game for the team on September 11, when they beat CD Lugo 2-1 at home.
Sanchez scored his first goal for Numancia against UD Las Palmas at home on November 19, 2016. It was the only goal of the game, which Numancia won 1-0. At the end of the season, he had played 33 times and scored one goal. His team finished second in the league and got promoted to the top level.
